Just saw on the news that The Old Man of the Mountain in Franconia, New Hampshire has collapsed. I'm super bummed! I lived in NH as a small child, most of my family is still out there, that's where we're from...I feel like yet another "icon" from my childhood has died!
My grandparents are photographers, and owned/operated North Country Photos for years and years and years. One of their favorite spots to photograph was the Old Man. We went there often, I haven't been back since I was 14. Thought I'd always get to go back..........
I'm sad.
More "childhood ending"!!! = (

Here's a link to my uncle's site: http://home.earthlink.net/~dbergeron/
Scroll down and there are lots of New Hampshire photos, you'll find some of the Old Man of the Mountain.

Thanks, but they're not his photos. My grandparents are photographers, those are theirs! They owned and operated North Country Photos for years and years, till they recently sold the company about 2 years ago. They are still photographers though. Those are, I believe, their postcards.Tommy wrote:thanks! and i must say, he is quite the photographer
