Actually, yes...it does.ally wrote:does it really matter?
As Jedi pointed out, it could create the impression that a mod will simply lock a topic and repost it under their own name.
We mods have to be very careful about how we behave around here as we don't want people to think that we'd do something like that.
It DOES matter.
What ALSO matters is that Gem has publicly admitted her mistake and apologized for it, so...good on Gem.
Sorry to be bringing this back up, but I just read this thread.

DAVID GILMOUR - ON AN ISLAND - SPECIAL LIMITED EDITIONS
Details are now emerging of a couple of special editions of David Gilmour's new album, On An Island, which hits the stores on March 6th in the UK and Europe, and March 7th in the US.
The editions, which appear to be coming out only in Europe, consist of the album on a limited 2LP vinyl set, and a limited edition 2 CD set. These are to be available alongside the regular single disc edition.
Whilst we are yet to see official information on what the expanded edition contains, we understand that it is alternate/demo versions of some of the tracks that appear on the album proper. The vinyl LP is expected to only contain the album itself, without additional tracks.
We don't yet know how limited these two editions will be, but suspect that they won't be available for too long. Obviously, once we know exactly what is on them, we will let you know the full details, but thought you'd like to know this latest tidbit of information!

so last week I did take a trip way out to the burbs to visit BestBuy
and they didnt have it - at all!
their computer only showed his 1st 2 solo albums
I had to tell them their advertising promised a special edition of the new floyd album exclusively available at their store
maybe its just American BestBuy locations?
