I hear the song on the radio a lot and I am sure that it is by Pink Floyd. It sound a lot like 'Young Lust' and I thought it would be on 'The Wall' album but I cannot find it anywhere. It definately sounds like their later stuff (80's era). It has a constant beat throughout the song and also what sounds like an ambulance siren with a guitar solo. Can anyone help?
I actually don't remember the lyrics, I'll have to catch it again on the radio. I have 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' and it is none of those songs.
Thanks for eveyone's help anyway.
It could be "There's no way out of here" by David Gilmour. That sort of fits your description and they play that on our local station from time to time.

I played drums on that, you know.
Yes, and they were very good drums. Did you like my backup vocals? I tried to get sort of a Claire Tory thing going, but with more of a gothic frght quality...

I thought it was a particularly emotive vocal. Stunning, in fact. And it only took one take! Tommy's slide guitar was another highlight.
