Famous Rock Album Sleeve

Post by Pugs on the Wing »

In the recent Uncut article about Pink Floyd, there is a sidebar on "Storm Thorgerson...designing the second most famous sleeve in rock." We all know that is DSOTM. But what is the first? It doesn't say.

I think it's Sgt. Pepper. Anyone else have another guess?

I would actually say Abbey Road personally, i definitly saw that albums cover before sgt pepper's, and it looks more iconic with just 4 of them corssing a road as opposed to loads of models e.t.c hanging about with the beatles.

This is one of those many times I feel like a idiot... :) You just had to put Sgt. Pepper and wallpaper to Google and voil?... well maybe that's the reason I'm gonna be social worker, not a computer genius.
