predicting hit songs...

Post by eternalechoes »

Here's an interesting article I found.
http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/129/n ... pin+.shtml

For those who are too lazy to click on the link, the article introduces a company which uses high-tech music analysis to compare new songs with an archive of over 3.5 million hit songs to determine its potential of being a top hit.

Personally, I think this process is ridiculous. It prevents artists with any original styles to break through onto the current scene.

Oh god. Just when I thought music couldn't get any worse, it's about to. Now we're gonna get to hear the same song, over and over and over again, with a slightly different rythm and lyrics each time. Great.
