I am going with 3. Some pop band or rubbish r&b shit will keep him from 1.

4. Tops.
Lets face it...this is not a hit album.
We, the floyd fans like it, but unfortunatly, we're not the majority in this case

I doubt it'll crack the top ten to be honest. It's the old stigma of not having the Pink Floyd name attached to it that makes me say so.
Chart entry positions have nothing to do with the quality of the music - the duration of its chart stay will be what decides how well the album is generally received imho.

yeah nowhere near the top ten which shows the dreadfull state of modern music once again.
an interesting side note:
do you think DSOTM would do as well if released today?

I tend to agree with the pessimism about OAI on the charts, I don't think it will even crack the top 25... but what do I know?

That is a very interesting question!
I'm afraid it wouldn't.

I seriously doubt it will hit the top 10 to be honest.
As much as the people here love all things Floyd the record buying public of today probably won't.
Lets be honest most current music, with a few exceptions, is rubbish.
