David gilmour (pink floyd) - on an island

it might not bother anyone else but it does me
well... there is a big sticker on the album with the words Pink and Floyd... so if he feels the need to mention it....

Did he really call him "Dullmore"? That's not very mature.

Sad to say, but it seems fitting...

I can't help but wonder just what the fuck Pink Floyd or Roger Waters has to do with Dave's SOLO album in any way shape or form.

Similar with small differences... Aerials is a brilliant album with great lyrics and emotion... On an Island is some music with incredibly dull lyrics. hehehe i have to say after 4 days i already lost interest in OAI, not a good sign at all for an album....

I mean that parts of the new album, the last 4 tracks to be specific, is extreamly DULL. So the name seems fitting in a album review :D

The instrumental Close My Eyes, featuring great Brit jazz-rock stalwart Robert Wyatt on clarinet...
Funny, I thought it sounded like a coronet. I can't give this guy much credit. Besides, that's how they sell their crap; make it controversial. Their line of thinking might be something like this: "The American public loves that type of stuff (Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura), so why shouldn't the Brits?"

Some people like mainstream pop. I myself believe my musical taste is a bit more dynamic. Let 'em talk all the crap they want. I know better, & if they don't listen to it, it makes it more special to me. Besides, I have met many self-proclaimed Pink Floyd FANATICS who've never even heard Animals.

That's right up there with people who have "been to every Pink Floyd concert since 1994."

That reminds me of when I was purchasing my tickets for the Dallas show in 1994: The girl who was running the register said, "Pink Floyd! I have all of his albums". I'm not making that up!

Oh by the way, which one's Pink???
