What the last update regarding Syd ?

Post by aviad »

I had a dream 2 days ago about Syd's death - the other pink ployd members did some kind of show for his memory... I remember the song "in the church yard, by the river..." and I woke up with tears in my eyes.

This is why I joined this forum.

Also, I'm listening these days to the album BARRETT (His last) and somehow, at the 1st day I put it on the CD player, there was a TV program (about 50 minutes) about Syd's early days grouping Pink-floyd, the fall during the San Francisco tour and the visit in the wish you were here recordings - filled with interviews with pink floyd members and friends, but not Syd's.

Can anyone let me know what is the recent update regarding Syd Barrett ?

Syd is alive and well, living in Cambridge still. He recently finished composing a book on the history of art.

Syd has always been interested in art.

What exactly is your question?

Last time I heard from him was last week when he stopped in for tea. He seems must fine - except he told me he took a bath on mutual funds. Ah Syd, when will ya learn?

I was talking about the book that he was working on. I've read that it's a History of art. Is it true?
