Dario Fo got the prize in 1997, mainly because of his plays as far as I know. But he is an exception in the history of the Nobel literature prize winners. Roger a candidate? Don't think so. But you never know, in ten years they maybe start giving it to non-writing artists as a way of keeping the popularity up. And Roger will have the perfect prize-winning age!

he's talked in the past about putting out a book of poetry or short stories
we know he writes them: thats where Leaving Beirut came from
he's probably got warehouses of unpublished writings
hopefully he will publish them one day,
I never believed he'd really put out that opera and yet he finally did

Not as far as I know.mosespa wrote:Wouldn't he have to have written a book or two to qualify for that?
Winston Churchill, politician got it in 1953.
Jean-Paul Sartre, philosopher got in 1964.
Harold Pinter, dramatist got it in 2005.
So, I hope Roger Waters some day will be the winner!
