It?s up to those 18 members on Svenska Akademien to do that.
But you can write to them and let them know who you think is worthy of The Nobel Prize.
http://www.svenskaakademien.se/ 'click' on Contact and down at the end of the site where you can fill in your name and Roger Waters.
I do know that Svenska Akademien having a secret pool with 30 candidates and they pick one of those each year.
With this thread I want to open up Svenska Akademien's eyes for OUR unique candidate!

I wrote an e-mail to The Polar Music Prize and told them that I do think Roger Waters are the most worthy winner, 2006.
Then 'Mike the Swede' suggested an even better winner; Pink Floyd.
And after Live8 the prize committee had their chance in a lifetime to give The Polar Music Prize to Pink Floyd, and they missed an open goal!
So, fellow floydians. Send an e-mail to The Polar Music Prize and let them know who you think should be the winner 2007; PINK FLOYD!

I think so, but I do believe that it?s not necessary.AtomHeartMomma wrote:Maybe he should put the lyrics to all his albums into separate books.mosespa wrote:Wouldn't he have to have written a book or two to qualify for that?![]()
Hmmmmmm....does that qualify??
In a way Waters already having his lyric in the Pink Floyd songbooks and in his own solo songbooks.
In 2005 they gave the Nobelprize to Harold Pinter, and he is playwright and theatre director.
So I can?t see any obstacles for Roger Waters achieve The Nobel Prize.
