Since as im sure you all know Pink Floyd use a lot of sound effects in their songs. So I was wondering which ones were your favourites.
For me it has to be the missile in "Get Your Filthy Hands off my Desert" sounds stunning with some good headphones
Favourite Pink Floyd sound effect?

Mine has to be Roger Water's screaming at the top of his lungs, "Hey you, yes, you behind the bike-stands! Stand still, laddie!...If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding, how can ya have any pudding if you dont eat your meat....etc."
I laugh so hard everytime I hear that.
Second choice, the beginning of Welcome to the Machine.
Also, there are no Seagulls in Echoes, so I assume you mean Marooned.
I also like the bell from High Hopes. Hell, there aren't many sound effects Pink Floyd used that I didnt love.
EDIT
The missile in GYFHOMD is stunning, especially, like you said, with great headphones.

If you say so, although to me it sounds like a guitar with a reverse wah-wah pedal applied. Certainly the "seagulls" would fit in with some of the earlier lyrics, but if it is supposed to be seagulls, they certainly chose to portray them in a very roundabout manner. Honestly, the thought that those are supposed to be seagulls is so far out of my mind, it's just incredible. Perhaps someone else could shed some light on this issue, as I would rather have this from more than one source.

aye to all sounds in Several Species
imagine jamming with a band of rodents like that yourself one day
bet that Pict had been into the Amanita Muscaria,
but whatever, thats attaining some oneness with nature!
I like the monstrous pigsqueals you hear on live versions during the animals tour
the TV smashing in The Wall, stuff all over The Wall really, its like several species expanded to a doubleLP
the Jimmy Young cut-up bit that began the 1974 shows
Marv Albert in Perfect Sense
the guillotine in Ca Ira (gonna give it another listen tonight just to judge the many sound effects)
daddy smoking a doob while reading Winnie-the-Pooh to his kids during Go Fishing ("come on, dad!")
oh yeh and the hitchhiker gasping during Running Shoes!
