Your Ideal Roger Tour
Everyone here with a complaint about Rog's current backup band or performance style has spoken out about them. Now, let's try something productive; what would your ideal Roger solo tour look like? Include any non-Floyd musicians who are likely to join his crew. Also, whatever setlist you want (this'll be the last time I'll copy/paste this thing, I promise) and however you want the stage set up.
Bass/Vocals: Roger. You can sing and play bass at the same time.
Keyboards: John Carin seems to hold his own nicely. Harry Waters is a decent Hammondist as well.
Drums: His current guy is a bit too... dull. Someone who can do fills and play with energy without suddenly taking the front of the performance is needed here; the only guy I can think of who is free is DEVO's former drummer Alan Myers, who is very flexible and very jobless.
Guitars: Dan Miller (of TMBG) is an extremely flexible guitarist; one of the best. He can change styles at a moment's notice, compose something off the top of his head, and does it without any mistakes (and his style impersonations are perfect). Given his head, he's one of the rare people who can imitate Gilmour and sound good doing it.
Assuming a Waters tour was timed while TMBG was off the road and not in the middle of making a record (say, now), he'd easily jump on as a musician-for-hire.
Snowy White should be there just because he's Snowy White.
Sax: His current guy is excellent.
Backing Vocalists: You really don't need more than two. Include whoever sings lead on Perfect Sense and Leaving Beirut and one other.
Stage Mannerisms:
None of the psychotic over-dignity "RAWK" style his new guitarist has, but don't be wooden. Rog handles himself well, although the others seem to be glued to the floor. I'm not suggesting DEVO-like stage choreography, but moving (preferrably in a manner reflective of what the musician is playing) wouldn't hurt.
Also, if the backup girls don't look good in those generic "backing girls!" outfits, PLEASE stop putting them in them. Case in point: HUGE purple splotch-thing on one of their left arms in the Rio VoIO. Long sleeves would be nice in these cases.
Stage Setup:
Mr. Sheet is nice indoors, but outside he gets blown around too much. Maybe getting the old Circular Mr. Screen back wouldn't hurt too much. Also, make it DO something other than random static images a bit more. Also, more dramatic lighting changes; brighter during loud bits, the like. If a huge DaveFloyd laser show isn't doable, try taking a hint from the structure Paul McCartney is hauling along the country nowadays; the L-shaped structure that is actually a massive series of screens displaying SOMETHING at any given time. Usually some image or another is pointing or surrounding the artists, or at least Paul.
Setlist:
SET 1
1. Radio Waves
2. Happiest Days Of Our Lives (KAOS arrangement with piano solo)
3. ABITW II (KAOS arrangement with no instruments in first few words)
4. Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert/Southampton Docks (Rog ALONE)
5. Sunset Strip
6. In The Flesh? (Fast)
7. Pigs (Two Diffirent Ones, remove Whitehouse and solos; segue from ITF)
8. Wish You Were Here (KAOS arrangement, plus segue from Pigs)
9. Every Stranger's Eyes (sing screamed bit in strangled present voice)
10. What God Wants (pt. 1)
11. Towers Of Faith (speak the Pope's like, not scream)
12. Set The Controls (Present arrangement)
13. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
14. Calls To The Hall (you heard me)
SET 2
1. Speak To Me/Breathe
2. Perfect Sense (pt. 1)
3. The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking
4. Dark Globe (Dave and Rick can't be the only Syd tributes; TML vocals)
5. The Fletcher Memorial Home
6. Perfect Sense (pt. 2)
7. Sea Shell And Stone/A Gentle Breeze Blew Through Life/Breathe
8. Lost Boys Calling
9. Hey You
10. The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range
11. Each Small Candle (or Two Suns In The Sunset; depends on mood)
12. Amused To Death
ENCORES
1. The Tide Is Turning (get the crowd to sing along, Hey Jude-style)
2. Brain Damage
3. Eclipse
Handling Vocally Stressful Bits:
Lip-syncing is not the answer. Do the Every Stranger bit in the present-day Sheep voice, or at least something subdued; it can't hurt the song too much.
In Towers Of Faith, just say the Pope's line in a loud voice. No screaming.
Fletcher doesn't need to be synced. Just sing it in a normal voice.
For Hey You, sing the last verse like the rest of the song, just do "don't tell me there's no help at all" in a high-pitched voice.
Promotional Releases (support the tour or something):
Live albums and DVDs for P/C and KAOS. A Wall DVD; a Franken-Show if needed.
Now, how would YOU suggest Roger handle this tour? Spill every idea you have out.

I won't go into "mannerisms/stage set-up" and all that bullshit but, as for the musicians:
Roger Waters (obviously) on bass and vocals
Andey Newmark- drums
Eric Clapton- lead guitar
Snowy White- lead guitar
Michael Kamen- keyboards and piano
Raphael Ravenscroft- saxaphone
The Haas from The Wall tour on backing vocals
By the way, the Roger Waters in this band would be Roger as he was in 1984
1. Your possible pasts
2. The Gunner's Dream
3. Fletcher Memorial Home
4. The Final Cut
5. The Thin Ice
6. Mother
7. Hey You
8. Nobody Home
9. Have a cigar
10. Run like hell
15 minute break
Pros and cons 1-12
Encore: Two suns in the sunset

I pretty much would want the 2000 tour band.
My setlist:
SET 1
1 - Knocking On Heaven's Door
2 - In The Flesh (Part 1)
3 - Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
4 - Mother
5 - Time
6 - Money
7 - Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert
8 - Southampton Dock
9 - To Kill A Child
*The Wish You Were Here Suite*
10 - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)
11 - Welcome To The Machine
12 - Have A Cigar
13 - Wish You Were Here
14 - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX)
Then a continuas loop of sound effects along with prerecorded synth would be played between Set 1 and Set 2 leading to the opening of Set 2....
SET 2
*The Amused To Death Suite*
1 - The Ballad Of Bill Hubbard
2 - What God Wants (Part 1)
3 - Perfect Sense (Parts 1 & 2)
4 - The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range
5 - Three Wishes
6 - Its A Miracle
7 - Amused To Death
He then would give the band introductions leading into...
THE ENCORE
1 - In The Flesh (Part 2)
2 - The Happiest Days Of Our Lives
3 - Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)
4 - The Gunners Dream
5 - The Powers That Be
6 - Comfortably Numb
Everyone would then walk off of the stage. Roger then comes back in a moment by himself with an accoustic guitar and says he has "one more number to calm us all down after such a LOUD night!"
THE FINAL ENCORE
1 - If

4. Echoes (complete)
5. Segue to Every Strangers Eyes
6. Perfect Sense (part I and II)

SET 2
13. Complete The Wall-album (80 minutes, including orchestra. Nobody Home with Eric Clapton guitar solo)
