I just had some fun with Syntrillium's Cool Edit Pro and tried to refduce some of the noise, take out some other mess and otherwise process the last song on dark side of the moon so that we can hear the "secret" orchestra playing! If you turn your CD player way up high at the end, you can hear it.
I made a little sound clip. Question is, what song is it? I know some people have speculated it is the beatles "ticket to ride" but I am not convinced. There are a few notes similar to the orchestral arrangement for that but I am not 100% convinced.

It is indeed from SACD. I think it is on the 20th anniversary edition but do not know about the other versions. I think it is present on there as well. I also think it was done on purpose. There seems to be a sequence to the end of the song if you are listening to it loud enough or after processing the signal a little.
When I can be bothered - probably tomorrow morning - I will investigatye the 20th anniversary edition. If anybody wants to email be the last minute of and of the other versions, I will signal process those as well.

Actually it sounds a bit like a promo for WYWH 'cause at the start of the song WYWH that little tune plays on the radio before the staton is changed, it sounds a bit like an orchastra version of that extract, although in this orchastra case they continue it. Maybe they planned to put that bit on the album somewhere without knowing where.
In saying that it's probably ticket to ride.
