Hey Brammer:

After giving the Hyde Park Roio a good listen that was released late this week I would have to say that so far it is best one released of Rogers tour so far.

I hope this helps.

I'd say Sydney is my favourite (awesome deep and clear bass) and A Roger in Manhattan is close 2nd.

The only RoIO I have from 2006/7 is "A Roger In Manhatten" - it is awesome!

Although not quite classed as ROIO, I have Pentagon Pig Tapes Vol 1 both DVD and they sound (and look) pretty good.

Having said that, he looked a lot "fresher" and a bit more enthusiastic in Auckland, NZ.

Ps - still trying to get my hands on the Auckland concert - I know it is out there as I have heard it, was told of a link to mp3 version - but that was dead - where is the lossless???

My favorite is Verona, June 5.

It's from very early on the tour and was among the first to surface, but it's one of the very best. With the sole exception of someone going "sorry, too much beer" during the very beginning of Leaving Beirut, there is NO crowd noise. The soundscape is entirely clear, stereo seperation wonderful, and both bass and treble are strong. As a bonus, we have The Gunner's Dream, a song that was killed off a bit later.
It's so close to A Roger In Manhattan that it becomes a high-end audiophile issue, and is only really outshone by the kickass recording of the first set of Bristow 9.23.06 (which I had the honor to be at... I can almost hear myself singing along during Perfect Sense, although that show had a loud crowd).

Cons: It's not QUITE as bass-heavy and well-performed as A Roger In Manhattan, but it's a bigger setlist with far less crowd noise. There's no Nick Mason, no authentic boys' choir, but it's amazing nonetheless.

Verona is the only show I've kept from the tour. I tend to pick the best sounding show and ditch the others.

Well, Lucca (july 12) is a soundboard/radio broadcast, so it's excellent but it's only the first set. No DSOTM.

Shows at the Madison Square Garden (september 12 and 13) are very good too.

The Sydney one is excellent (and that night the band was in a very good mood) but definitely, the best one is Hollywood Bowl (october 06)
