I was watching Pompeii recently and my wife pointed something out to me that I hadn't bothered to notice in fifteen years of watching it.
In almost every song, Nick is wearing a shirt with a butterfly in the same spot on the shirt.
It's almost the same shirt every time...but it's a different color.
Has anyone else noticed this?
What are your thoughts on it?
Have I done this already?
Has anyone noticed?

They're also different sleeve cuts, i.e., one's a tank, another's short sleeved and another still is 3/4 length, I think.
Have no idea what the significance of the butterfly is.
I think the director of Pompeii wanted them to look consistent throughout the movie so when they did the filming in the studio he wanted it to match up as much as possible with the actual on-site filming. Unfortunately, their haircuts and facial hair changes give that away.

A bit of both, actually.
It's a concert they did over a period of three days in an old amphitheater in Pompeii with no audience except their sound crew and a camera crew...in between songs, they are shown working on DSOTM in the studio.
Gilmour has recently said that the footage of them working on DSOTM was faked for the cameras...that the album was already in the can before the camera crew got there.
It's worth having if you can find a copy of it.

Thats kind of true but the first release of the Pompeii did not have the interviews it only had the music. On its re-release it was released in the version seen in the cinama. No I wasn't ASFAIK there 2 versions of the video the "official" with interviews, which was played at cinemas, and the one I have"director's cut" without them.
