Sound effects in an audio book? Why would there be??

"Then Rodger made a noise that was something like this [insert horse sound here]"

Apparently there are some sound effects to make it more interesting. Some parts were cut out as the book was too long to read out so they added some these sound effects.
I haven't got it. I think I should because I really can't be arsed reading !!11

You mean that Inside Out has more than 23 pages and doesn't have colourful pictures on every page???

Rip off! that is even longer than Echoes!

I thought it would have arrived today but no!! I am upset! I am having to watch/listen to a John Lennon gig on VH something... perhaps 1 or 2........ and that annoying Yoko Ono is screaming and making loads of pretentious pointless noise! Cow!

Anyway.... this damn audio book had best arrive on Monday else I am going to hurt someone!! I am going to listen to it in my car I think on the way back and to to work.... that way I will become a Floyd expert (at least from the eyes of Nick Mason) without giving much effort!!

I really don;t know anything about Pink Floyd. It is quite shocking!!

What in hell's name is one of Yoko's nutty pre-73 performances doing on VH(whatever)? Is it a countdown of the worst ideas in rock history? (Of course it'll still hit #2, with Zee coming in first.)

If it makes you feel any better, she lately came to the conclusion that her lyricless work really WASN'T worth doing twice and has been slowly chiselling the remnants of it out of existance. She sliced most of it from the remaster of Sometime In NYC, made sure no remnants of it leaked outside of Fly and YO/POB's remasters, and hasn't done any of those kinds of songs since 1973. (Unless you count Rising, which was kind of Sean's fault anyhow.)

Yes, I like it!! Nick reads the book out missing some paragraphs to condense it a little. There is the occasional sound effect between tracks. Well worth buying if you can never find the time to sit down and read the whole book!! A good accompanying article!!

Very enjoyable to listen to. Nick is Floyd's very own humourist and "clown" as well as "The current DRIVING force and engine of Pink Floyd". I recomend it.

And this is the first real piece of Nick Mason solo audio material (he wrote AND performed it), too.

Someone should make a rap remix of the whole audiobook. That'd be something.

It'd certainly be more of a NIck Mason album than FS and Profiles; he sang AND wrote all the lyrics! Even Dave can't do that!
