David Gilmour's best work without Waters?

Post by MoreOrLess »

For me it would be his first solo album the first 7 tracks on that album are all up to 70's floyd standards IMHO . DB might have challenged it but I still think like AMLOR it was very overproduced. Pretty much all of the tracks from both albums sounded miles better live if you ask me but I cant really include DSOT or Pulse since they are both choced full of songs Waters had a hand in.

It would have to be TDB for me. Every song on it is stellar.

It must be Division Bell. I like the instrumentals on this album. Very relaxing.

(Un)Fortunately I don't know his solo-works but I definitely consider MLOR better then DB., although I like DB as well.

I really would recommend his first 1 as its for me its the only solo release by any iof the floyds that I consider was done when they were at the peak of their powers. I think it's also interesting to see what direction floyd might have taken with less waters dominance.

I would have picked the 2001-2002 live performances if they were there...

SURELY, The Division Bell--~~--High Hopes and Lost For Words are great reasons for it
