Won?t hear a sound He?s curled into the corner
From my mouth But still the sceen is flickering
I?ve spent too long With an endless stream of carbage to
On the inside out ... curse the place
My skin is cold In a sea of random images
To the human touch The self-destructing animal
This bleeding heart?s Waiting for the waves to break
Not beating much

I?m holding out He?s standing on the threshold
For the day Caught in fiery anger
When all the clouds And hurled into the furnace
Have blown away ... curse the place
I?m with you now He?s torn in all directions
Can speak your name And still the screen is flickering
Now we can hear Waiting for the flames to break
Ourselves again
The music, close to be a reggae/reggea/reagge [I can't spell!], but also reminding about these religious songs of the black's in the early 20th Century. Perhaps a little bit of folk music? Anyone that will agree with that idea?

Best regards,
Peter

Oh well, buck the trend time.
Can't say this song really does alot for me as to my ears, it doesn't really go anywhere. It seems to meander along pleasently enough but it never seems to get out of second gear.
The only spark for me is when Rick plays that familiar solo sound in the middle of the song.
Not really sure i like the percussion that accompanies the song and in places, it sounds to my ears like it's a tad underproduced but then, it's all down to taste and what we desire to hear and be moved by but it's a track i tend to skip.
I do like the fact that Rick took the lead vocals on a Floyd album after so long out of the picture so in that sense, it's a worthy inclusion on the album.

Well, all the lyrics are printed on the Division Bell sleeve and you could find them on the web too. But I' m happy I helped you, anyway.
