Bad remasters from Italy ??

Bad remasters from Italy ??

I recently bought some remastered CDs, and to my horror, some of them sounded worse than my "Shine On" boxset (which is actually remastered in 1992). I bought "The Wall""Animals" and "Saucerful" just because I wanted the artwork, and thought that the new CDs would sound even better. While "The Wall" sounds good (made in Holland) the others really suck. The sound is duller and not as crispy as the "Shine On" set. Coincidentally they are made in Italy. Anyone experienced this ?

My Animals is made in Italy but I can't hear if it was bad quality or something, I think it's good or even excellent sound. SOS is made in Holland and it's good quality too.

My copy of Animals is also made in Italy (just checked), and I can't complain about the quality. Of course I haven't heard box set version, so dunno... :-k
