Ok, fantasy setlist for upcoming tour. Doesn't have to based on what he's actually playing ( like the entire Dark Side. )

Set 2

Saucer
Mother
Gunners Dream
Green is the Colour

Interstellar Overdrive and ASOS seem like odd choices, being tracks done by all the members of Pink Floyd. I can't imagine tour musicians playing them.

You could say the same about Breathe, Time and Us and Them, but he's playing them currently.

Yes, you could. But it is different and that comparison is illogical.

ASOS and Interstellar Overdrive are highly improvisational and only follow any pre-arranged chord structure at the end (in the case of both) and the start (just Interstellar Overdrive), while all of the songs you mentioned are not very improvisational at all and each one has a composed harmonic structure. Performing them is completely different to performing ASOS and Interstellar Overdrive.

The comparison is perfectly logical as your previous assertion is that the songs required all the members of Floyd, not that they were too improvisational.

The improvisational nature of those songs is why I choose them. One of my major complaints about the show this fall is how the musicians needed to loosen up. As Clapton once said while touring with Roger: "Can't we just play?"

I'm sure Jon Carin can improvise on the spot and I would be surprised if Mr. Kilminster couldn't find a few licks in a pinch. Not all musicians need a defined chord structure to improvise a melodic line, jazz players have been doing it for the last 40 years. I actually think I would enjoy Kilminster's playing more if it didn't sound like a thin, lick for lick copy of Gilmour.

1. Speak To Me/Breathe

Why thank you :D

I thought maybe Rog could work the "Interstellar Overdrive" riff into "Set The Controls" as part of a spacerock opening segment. Also, he could consider performing the two "Amused To Death" tracks solo on guitar as part of the acoustic section.

Not at all. It has 4 sections, but each one was improvised except for Celestial Voices. That's the only part that really has any structure.

And it would most likely be crap with somebody other than Gilmour singing it.
