quite right, Airbag is a great band, and it is not realy the same as PF's version, but too far from it, anyway I voted them, Rockfour just dosen't cut for me.

I think YOU might have missed the point of the competition...
The point is to cover Arnold Layne as you want it...
If you want it to sound exactly the same, you can..
If you want it to sound very different, you can..
If you want a trumpet solo in the middle, you can...
There's no wrong way of doing this comp as long as you can hear that it's Arnold L...
The winner was supposed to be announced on 7th Feb by the Features Editor on the blog but nothing has been mentioned yet! Have I missed something or has the competition gone to pot?

the Airwaves got nuthin' on Rockfour, man!!! This cool group of guys took a Barrett classic and put their own spin on it, that's why they deserved to win. That's what Gilmour was looking for, not a band who just copies what Barrett did! You should really give them a listen before you judge like that. They're from Israel and they fuckin rock, that's who they are! Gilmour got good taste in music, what can i say?
