It's only dishonest if you try to say it isn't happening when it is.
Did Roger state somewhere that he wasn't lip synching?

This subject is tired...who cares. Give the guy a break he is an old coot. I'm just glad and he can still get up there and entertain people. Roger performing on his worst night with backing tracks and lip syncs all over the place is better than anything new that I've seen.

Cut the guy a break already.

I'm sure alot of you have gone or are going to see him perform on tour am I wrong?

As far as I know, Roger didn't say anything, no.

But, reportedly, his sax player did say that there was no lip synching, no backing tracks at all and every sound heard was being made live.

Twas the subject of a debate once.

Yes, cut the 60 some year old man some slack, my 50 some year old relative is DYING (but he's a stubborn bastard), at least Rog can do stuff.

And what's wrong with jams. I would GLADLY sit through Atom Heart Mother, The Embryo, etc. even if it was a 6 hour concert.

Sorry for the rant but, DAMN

I'll shut up now, I'm done...

I went to his show last year but didn't notice anything, but i wasn't thinking about it...
I'm going to a new show in april, maybe i'll notice then..
My opinion is if he cant sing it, he shoul drop it !!
I'm not paying to listen to a f..... tape...
Regarding instrument synch, or otherwise, Snowy White's guitar cut out during "Set The Controls" at the North Harbour gig, indicating that he was playing live rather than just synching to a tape.

I'll take a jam of Embryo or AHM anyday, easy enough to sing!

When I saw Roger in September he sang 90% of the stuff he was singing...

Some of the ridiculously high notes that he didnt attempt and both my ears were glad for that...

A GREAT show, thats why I'm headed back...

watching the Pentagon Pig DVD I was struck by how much his hands shake
hes getting on, and hes made comments that this is his last big tour
I think we should be thankful he's going to all this effort to entertain us

The Wall is brilliant on a million levels but it also over exposed. Dont blame that on any of the Floyd...

How absurd. Where did they hide the kids who all sing the chorus track to ABITWpt2? Or Marv Alpert (the voice of the NBA)...or the sheep at the start of SHEEP? So many tapes...so many....gawd....that is a seriously retarded thing to say from Ian Ritchie.

Unless he was mis-quoted.

Lots of New Zealand lambs....

I would much rather see Gilmour and Wright perform than Waters any day, and I would pay any price to see them. I don't care for Waters' solo material, so the first half of his show would be spent smoking outside the gates and consuming mass quantities of alcohol...

He only plays a couple of solo songs...not much of a SOLO tour really.

Interesting. A friend of mine saw one of his shows in Australia last month and indicated that the entire first half of his show (before intermission) was about 80% solo material. Perhaps he varies his set list.
