Its a known fact that Roger improvises his lyrics at any time at any minute at his own muse...so maybe ;just maybe its possible that He did intend the last parts of the songs to send a private but ciphered as a soundtrack ;as his desire to get together again and create some "magic" now that they are more at ease and fun than the mid-life stage (30-50 yrs) as is evident in their tours. So maybe Dave watches the movie and if does get the message encoded "in crystal shaped elements" that Mimzy (who incidentally is a pun on Lewis Carroll's Jaborwoki poem-All mimsy were borogoves...) and if he still can't figure it out then Roger will play "Hey you...sitiing naked by the phone can you hear me...don't tell me there's no hope at all".
Dave should grab this opppurtunity if only he realises the amount of MONEY these 4 will be able to generate ; from which he can donate his share of cash to charity.
Hello ,BDG -Is there anybody out there???

I'd like to see Jon Carin get David and Roger to hang out at Abbey Road for a couple of weeks to work on a couple of songs. One written by David for his next album with Roger contributing. And another written by Roger with David contributing. Let them see how things go in a small dose.

I would like to think that they are both much more mature now than 20 years ago. They might just find that they have more in common than they remember and things might be easier than they imagined.

Just an idle daydream...

I thought the rumour back in 2006 was that Gilmour was finishing his album and Roger was down the hall rehearsing...maybe they chatted.

You know, I just now realized that this is the first time Rog has lifted lyrics from older works. 2004's To Kill The Child opened with a line ripped straight from The Tide Is Turning (After Live Aid), although that's usually not as noticable as Brain Damage or Is There Anybody Out There? to non-fans.
(You know, since Rog apparently still respected TTiT(ALA), I wonder why he left it dead since 1990. Maybe he can't sing it without thinking about the horrible end of The Wall In Berlin... understandable.)

Have you heard
it was on the news
your child can read you like a bedtime story
Like a Magazine
Like a has-been out to grass
Like afternoon T.V.
Why is my life going by so fast?

Hello I love you
Is there anybody in there?
Put down the phone
Shut up the shop
Make all their techno babble stop
We'll find a short-waved frequency
the wave connecting you and me
Hello I love you.

Have you heard
it was on the news
the general staff can't figure out
is this campaign win or lose
Life is long but it goes fast
the kids will have to separate
their future from our past.

Hello I love you
Is there anybody in there?
the ghosts are walking by my side
I feel their love I feel their pride
For I have built a bridge or two
bridges between me and you
Hello I love you.

Have you heard
it was on the news
you can make your peace
on the dark side of the moon
I'll see you there
we can rock 'n' roll
we can make our choice
we can say goodbye or say hello.

Sorry Rog 'ol chap but yer song is shite!

I heard it the other day and it made me cringe.
