A cheeky request for help!

Post by Neil1567/2 »

Our band,The Amber Herd, who you may recall from the Brighton and Glasgow NPF shows last year have a tiny chance of supporting The Magic Numbers at an open air gig in Nottingham at the end of the month-if we get enough votes! If time and inclination allow,it'd be ace if you could please visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/beat and tick our name.If we get it and I see you there the beers are on us! Thanks a lot. :D

Naughty! :D You going to get a better soundman than in Glasgow? That way you will blow the Magic Numbers off the stage! :D

Unfortunately i was the "soundman" in Glasgow, and im not a sound engineer in any way shape or form (the actual sound guy had gone home to pick up a new amp and grab a quick lunch, leaving me in charge until the second sound guy came along...... but he was an hour late)

apologies :(

In response to the above two posts-
Joe-no worries mate-it sounded ok from where we were stood!
Andy-thanks a lot, bud.Darkside's vote is worth its weight in gold.If I tell the gig organisers that the mighty Stevie G out of Darkside is behind us then the gig is surely ours!!
Thanks so much for your support everyone.

Hi Neil, sorry I didnt know about this until now otherwise Id have definitely voted for you, I do find the Magic Numbers very enjoyable, they have a kind of Belle & Sebastian quality to them but not such a nightmare to set up! I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for the final result.
