High Hopes

High Hopes, in my opinion, is one of the greatest songs of Pink Floyd. It's incredible the lyrics, the music in general (Gilmour's guitar solo is AMAZING!!!

). My favourite version of this song is the one from Pulse, which has a incredible ending (the part before ''forever and ever'' is really good). So, which version of High Hopes do you prefer:

a.Pink Floyd->Pulse
b.Pink Floyd->Division Bell (original version)
c.David Gilmour->David Gimour In Concert
d.I don't like this

I like to WATCH it, I think it goes really well with the beautiful Thorgerson's video...
But yes, the guitar solo is incredible

It's definately the best and most original track on TDB...IMO of course, I'll go on to say I like it better than any other song done by the post-Waters Floyd. I've only heard the Division Bell version so obviously I can't comment on which High Hopes version I like best.

I love that song its truely beautiful, i think i like the pulse version the best, it seems to have that live emotion.

Ive wondered for a while if the line "running b4 time took our dreams away" was a reference to on the run and time from dsotm. I know Roger said that he thought DSOTM destroyed the band.

It's a great song. Funny you guys mention this song, I was thinking of a discussion on this one, a few days ago.

I have listened to TDB version only so that's the one I really love. Great guitar solo.

Yes! It's my favourite PWPF-song (at least almost) and I think best version is in PULSE. In fact PULSE has many good versions of songs, some are better than originals, for example Run Like Hell and Us And Them.
