A very strange time in their career to stick them on the front cover!

Trust us: It was worth the wait.

Rolling Stone had a floyd cover at least once before, in 1987

Well, technically, Pink Floyd is not on that cover...at least not any pictures of the group members. Remember, that's what it's all about, to get your picture of the cover of The Rolling Stone (at least according to Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show!).

I had that issue (threw it out of course), and technically, I recall that it was two seperate interviews, so, sorta wasn't that much about the band in a way if that makes any sense.

It'll be the first time I've ever purchased Rolling Stone.

I'll only get it if the last sentence is "Well, we may have been a bit harsh on them."

Um, why are they putting them on *now*? There was a lot going on last year, but not really anything new right now, other than Roger's ongoing tour (unless there's REALLY going to be a reunion or something).
And will they mention how their album guide dismisses albums like The Wall as "awful"? It would be REALLY COOL if Roger and Dave and co. REFUSED to be on the cover...it would make PF cooler than ever.
Maybe Queen will be on the cover next...this is crazy....

Won't bother buying it. Describes the article as being a history of the band and I don't really see the point in reading another coming from a magazine as it's usually jusat very basic information with similar quotes.

What next, Rush on the cover of Rolling Stone or Genesis or The Moody Blues.
As Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull said it best and I quote "I don't have time for Time magazine or Rolling Stone" end quote!

Whoop-dee-shit. Probably all the same stories that we've read before.
And if there's some crap in that issue about the horrid Gene Simmons, I definitely don't want it.
