I remember reading somewhere that the current line up have rehearsed these tracks but they've been cut from the current shows
1. Each small candle
2. Every strangers Eyes
3. It's a Miracle
Can anyone confirm what tracks were considered/dropped from the current tour?
Also, did he actually not play ABITW II and Happiest days as encores in any shows, or has that just been an omission by someone in writing up his current tours set-list?
I know on the ITF tour he played a couple of extra tracks here and there but not in every show (ie The Thin Ice).
What tracks nearly made it into the current set?

On the first date of the 2006 tour, In The Flesh and HDooL/ABITW2 were mysteriously swapped in the setlist.
I have not seen any descriptions or bootlegs of recent soundchecks, though.
Over the tour, there have been two distinct variations of the first set.
V1:
1. In The Flesh (HDooL/ABITW2 at Rio)
2. Mother
3. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
4. Leaving Beirut
5. Have A Cigar
6. Wish You Were Here
7. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
8. The Gunner's Dream (dropped late in V1's run and never returned)
9. Southampton Dock
10. The Fletcher Memorial Home
11. Perfect Sense
12. Sheep
Then, on the American tour, the songs were re-arranged. The screen films were also very nicely segued together and a bit of radio chatter before Mother was added.
V2:
1. In The Flesh
2. Mother
3. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
4. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
5. Have A Cigar
6. Wish You Were Here
7. Southampton Docks
8. The Fletcher Memorial Home
9. Perfect Sense
10. Leaving Beirut
11. Sheep
The second set (not including the Rio flip) has stayed identical through the whole tour.
In case you didn't notice, I'm not a fan of boring non-changing setlists. I do feel that changing everything every day goes a bit too far for the casual fan, though (Phish); the best setlist handling is probably the way They Might Be Giants does things.
I really hope Rog adds Hello (I Love You) to fill the gap The Gunner's Dream left. I'd kill to hear that live.

Identical first set as in Budapest this Saturday. I really missed It's A Miracle, Amused To Death, Each Small Candle... He could have really stuck to these instead of Southampton Dock. Anyway, thumbs up for Leaving Beirut and The Fletcher Memorial Home!

Ive now heard Hello I Love You at least 5x on my local classic rock radio station (!!!!)
whoda thunk it?
you guys going to his concert should be shouting out for his new song, its not like youre not gonna hear Money so why waste your breath shouting for the old Floyd toons?
maybe if he hears the demand he'll play it, and thatll restore his confidence in his post Final Cut material
even if he doesnt it would sound like youre giving him a heckuva compliment

he'll be in Montreal again in a month, so i guess it could still be an anniversary of sorts, maybe he'd humour us, though in all seriousness he probably wont even mention it. Besides i think he likes us now, he sure seemed to the last time... in fact he was a little too friendly and obliging... hmmm...
i spose you cant really blame him, i mean that song is 40 years old, im sure its lost its lustre by now, i mean, i can't see how he'd not be fed up with playing stuff as early as dark side... even his 80's stuff is like... long past. oh well, if its fine with him, its fine with me!
