He deserved all that money and more for the invluence he had on so many people.But what a contrast in those 2 pics!!!

Yes they did. In addition, they made sure that plenty of Syd's songs were featured on "Relics" and "Echoes."

It's desperately sad to see the contrast between the two photos. £1.7 million is no compensation for what he went through. I hope Syd was happy, though being snapped by the paparazzi and annoyed by rubberneckers calling to his door must have been upsetting for him.

We all know how exclusively R.Barrett lived, think about his foreign sport cars, hand made guitars, swimming pools...
Hopefully Alan and Rosemary can handle with all that property.

Oh I don't know. It's not too bad when you consider that the pictures were taken nearly 40 years apart. And quite honestly, I have family members who look worse.
