Re: Heartland?
This would cause another nice personality clash. Roger Waters versus Preacherman Bono.

I like U2... not enough to own any of their music, but I think their acclaim/success is largely deserved.Demolition Man wrote:Unless we are counting Roger twice... that statement is inaccurate.moom wrote:Roger Waters playin' U2... Two great performers... but hard to imagine

Hey, maybe he got so angry he fired himself and that's why they had to use a robot for the '06/'07 tour.

Re: Heartland?
Having seen Roger six times over the past two years, I'm quite content and consider myself lucky to have seen him, but if a lapse in touring means that he will put out a new album or two, for him to tour, then I'm all for that. As long as the album is as good or better than Amused to Death, by far his best piece. Besides, he has to tour again, as I haven't met him yet (got to the damn soundcheck 2 hours ahead of schedule, missed him by that much ), And would'nt it be rather unlike him to write alot and NOT release an album?

He took his time in the last years. But a new album would be sooo nice.

Re: Heartland?
Another new song has leaked from a sound check on another forum...not Woman, but something else!!!!!!!
He's gotta lot a tunes and should be loose enough to put something good together, having practiced a lot lately.
EDIT: some people start talking while he sings, but somebody on another forum has taken a stab at being an aide, who says I will translate:
The child breaks the ice
And peers into the hidden depths
And tried to decipher the holy psalm [we miss]
Well I have no doubt that we'll figure it out someday
[There could be hell to pay]
And the sparrow is crusading on the [cruel] paths [again]
And in corridors of power _____________ [reign]
These dashing zen priests, like beautiful beasts,
will surely fail the West
