I personally think it's hideous, not to mention the veddy baaaad illustration, but I know at least one of you would beg to differ.

It doesn't even look like him! Neither does Rick. I can see a caricature in Roger, and a little Dave in Dave, but yeeeesh.

I'm trying to think of who Nick reminds me of...like the young child star who played Damien from the Omen...or was it Harold from Harold and Maude?

It's scaring me too much. They look like guys I went to high school with.

Artists tend to paint themselves. It's got to be a woman who painted these. I mean, I just can't see a man doing this, you know? It's too "artsy craftsy" to have been painted by a guy. (said as a woman who would never waste her artistry on something like this!)

I think you mean "artistic license," which gives the artist free reign to do what he/she desires. Craftsmanship would be how well the actual object is put together.
