Yes Sean...but thats the thing...as time went on and Rog whas taking more and more "dominance" of the band, music itself fell on the second place.
Dont think that i dont appreciate Waters...not at all...i think he is a genious for his concepts and the words he wrote, but the tune and the feel of the music itself whas no longer that important. The important thing whas to tell a story through the words that he wrote from the experiances that he had.

I agree with SS's theory about tyrannical boss. Gilmour and Wright got lazy couse they where tired of making their own point about whats right or wrong in the band, the music, the what ever...
Gilmour had his moments of glory on the Waters albums, such as comfortably numb or run like hell, young lust...and to be honest, without these songs, the wall would sound, well not so good... imagine how the wall would sound if the four of them all together worked on it. Better, thats for sure. Waters story could still be told, but with more comfortable background for your ears.

I'm not trying to convince you into something, couse thats allmost impossible (lol)...just saying what i think. "together we stand, divided we fall".
great topic great posts
moss really nails many points home
one of these poster's here is a relative of dave or in the pink camp
he just know s too much

anyway to the post above
roger said a bunch time's from `71-72` onwards
i will say
EXACTLY
what i mean in my songs
after hearing shit from the press
the press.
i mean the people who most of youse have based all your thoughts on
the press who the whole pink floyd hated .
[[what song's does pf bash the press ?? or songs ?? ]]
[[when david sucked up on mt v in 87 i almost puked ]]

free four
roger talks about the gravy train of usa touring
yrs before .. all of dark side roger words are clear
and after that === roger says in at least two songs and maybe 6 songs the bullshit of record comp
touring fans
and his band-mates who
AREN'T really there ..fuck the press , listen to his words
. dave rick and nick happily played them and still do
play nobodies home
sheep
dogs
free four
ya know play almost any later roger song and he rails against it all
all the bs of rock life . he rails against himself too

if not for this complete roger tantrum we would have nothing no animals no wywh no cut and no wall
if [[great song huh ??]]
if roger was not a complete scum-bag then pigs on a wing would never be
that is what it takes to make rock and roll
rock is a nasty fucking thing

we love a band who instead of hugging syd and getting him well kicked him the fuck out
his childhood buddy and teacher== david made this happen . roger and nick plotted
maybe only rick stood by syd

we love a band whose best work animals and wywh and even a little wall talks about there love for syd
wow
that sucks huh
they kicked him out there leader and muse and after a complete writers block made there post dark side a body of work about a crazy diamond .. that is rock and roll

where 3 band mates rook a powder from mid 72 onwards

saying roger was hard boss and roger made davie wonder shy is a complete press invented lie ...
and to all you DG fan boys
if ROGER did not take control of almost every aspect of pf from touring // speakers // and almost every detail that some of you complain about
to make this happen
to make the greatest rock tour ever
1977 animals
david never played better ........... no ??
[[[ i went to 4 87 shows
the sound system was shit . muddled or muffled . i guess the lights were enough for some ]]

if roger did not take control
IF roger did not lose it
we would have dark side and nothing else

IF roger did not lose it
we would have dark side and nothing else

please grow up . its rock and roll dudes

ROGER WAS PINK FLOYD FROM 71 ONWARDS

quiet

hush now
yes rick's ping is very important .. in fact rick is a fantastic musician
and since after 16000 online post about pf i have now come to believe that david gilmuor is the finest guitar player ever
number one

i am very impressed that you guys can talk about this and not make a flame war
in pfco this could not be
in the now crashed emi site we had 40 page flame wars on this
that still has me shaken

i truly love you guys
the best fans in the world
bar none

peace
========================
[[[ this last part has music to it ]]
play the final sounds of the wall or two suns right now please ]]
ready .. tic toc .. .. have you got it yet
fine james lets go ]]]

]]]
ok ok
why some pink floyd fan s feel like there head is in a ever tighting vise is the fact that
if you love pink floyd music

then why are you bitching about the cornerstone of the group
i can never fathom this
who cares who fucked who
i love the music and whatever it took to get there is fine by me .
===================
[[ the song [[ IF ]] now plays ]]

music
roger was all about the music
when he finally settled the pink floyd affairs
he was offered 25 percent of all future stuff
he didn't understand
he still does not understand this alien concept
he took the wall rights and split
he only saw the music

They didn't bash the press in their songs so much as they showed such a general dislike and disgust for the press. They even went to far as to mail a nicely gift wrapped box of shit to one journalist. As a result, they have been sort of "black balled" from favorable treatment by most of the press. The Rolling Stone Magazine doesn't usually give them favorable reviews because of their refusal to kiss Jann Wenner's ass.

Yeah, Pink Floyd and the press are like Roger and his ex wives!

no lostplay each point of your original argument hasn't been numbered and addressed in turn - thats mossification.

in any case i don't think mosespa would find too much to disagree with in your elegant post. 8)

1. Indeed...well spotted

2. "Mossification" can also involve the splitting of one point into two so that I have an excuse to write more junk elaborating beyond the point of ridicule on something that was originally said pretty simply...and probably even clearly.

3. Anyone who finds something to disagree with in that post needs to be mossified within an inch of their life, IMO. :D

I wonder how long it will be before someone is "lossified?"
