would have been true but a song pops in

Crazy,
Over the rainbow, I am crazy,
Bars in the window.
There must have been a door there in the wall
When I came in.
You can quote songwriting percentages until the cows come home. But your leaving out an important fact. All of these songs that Roger Waters "wrote", which there is no doubt that he wrote all of these songs. The point is and it is a well known fact, Roger was the concept and lyric man, David was the music man. If you don't believe me read the books and magazine articles, you will eventually glean the facts. Roger would have been happy to use one tune for 20 lines of lyrics, But David insisted on having more melodies and changes. David Gilmour was twice the musician Roger was. In my humble opinion. But of course that is countered by Roger Waters being twice the lyrist. Hell, why can't we just give each his due.
It is a shame that everyone wouldn't just stay in their corner and do what they did best. We got some fantastic music from Pink Floyd. Just think how much more there could have been if not for the egos. And there is enough blame to go around. No one involved came out clean, they all played there parts, or didn't which was also a problem. You all know what I'm saying. (I hope)
That is the way I see it, I've been a fan for almost 40 yrs. I Love Pink Floyd! The good the bad and the ugly.
Best wishes and no hard feelings

p.s. sorry I just had to get that off my chest.
