I have no doubt that it is Syd not only because it absolutely sounds like him, but look at the caliber of other notable names the guy has interviewed. It's legit!

People make too much money off of these things as it is, without allowing us to trade them amongst ourselves for free, so I don't think anyone should be paid for this. If they want to be greedy and make a couple hundred quid off of it, then so be it, but it could end up being distributed a whole lot more freely without the price tag on it.

It's just sad how someone will discover a lost gem like this and the first thing that comes into their heads is how much money they potentially can make off of it.

The tape (inteview) is owned by ZBS and I´m very happy they found it and let us to hear it too. He preserved the tape, ripped it, processed it, put together a nice little intro. So he´s asking for a 1 dollar for it. Not a big deal I´d say.

You could ask D. Gilmour about the Madcap session tape (Living alone, Bob Dylan Blues etc.), we all (?) know he has them. So who´s greedy ?

Not to mention Vegetable Man or Scream Thy Last Scream singles or Nick Mason´s massive film and tape collection.


This could open some vaults, so I encourage people to buy it.

I can't look at it as "sad". Especially since it's only a dollar. They certainly could have put it out on a $30 cd like lots of others before. The person doing this would a little bit of overhead to take care of. Everyone of us of working age has to "sell out" everyday to pay the bills, whether you work in an office, factory or as a musician. It's gotta cost the guy something in some way to provide this service.

I don't know. I see what you all are saying but I just have mixed feelings about the subject of new stuff surfacing that people are making money off of, especially posthumous Syd stuff. I don't know.

It sounds like Syd is drawing or sketching during part of this as I seem to be hearing a pen scratching on paper...anyone else get the same? I suppose that could account for the pauses from the interviewer if he is watching Syds efforts.
