I agree, it is one of early Floyd's best songs IMO. What a terrific B side song.

I love "Lucy Leave". I could do without King Bee though.

Funny story about Starclub Psycho - could've been worse, you could've returned it in exchange for John Lennon's "Life With The Lions", expecting a great album because he was a Beatle! :D

(In case you're not aware, the entire first side of "Life With The Lions" is screaming and feedback. 30 minutes worth.)

I prefer The Wedding Album. 30 minutes of John saying "Yoko" and Yoko saying "John".
Revolutionary.

I love what Ringo said about when he first saw it:

"I just looked at it and said, 'Oh, you've got a copy of The Times with you' as if he wasn't standing there with his c*ck hanging out."

was listening to this track only a few days ago. candy: it is pure art rock/pop. unique and catchy.

how CLEARLY you can hear syd use the f-word in this song.

he seems to clearly be saying the f-word in the 'syd's first trip' film. i remember that i started using that word too much when reading john lennon interviews. syd also seemed sort of hung up on lennon.

right? me, too.

listening now ... bob and syd's guitars weaving in a john-and-george/brian-and-keith sort of way and the eric burdon-ish vox delivery make it really very british invasion-ish.

i like the way this one and 'king bee' were recorded. nice sound.

it was written by Slim Harpo
theres a version of it on an early Stones album
and PigPen sings it during a 1969 Dead show at the Fillmore East (probably elsewhere as well but thats the one Ive heard)
