There is an option on Artistopia, where I uploaded 13 demo tracks for preliminary promotion this evening, to select 3 lead tracks that stand out. These three are the suggested tracks for people who don't wish to hear the whole album right off. This enables artists to showcase what they believe the outstanding tracks are.
So please select the three songs in this poll that you believe to be the outstanding tracks of the 13. I will keep the poll open for one week and the three top vote getters will be showcased. I could have chosen myself, but I am not totally impartial, so I am leaving it up to the NPF collective.
Here is the link to the page if you want to see it for yourselves.

We can't be objective, Geoff. Maybe you should restrict the poll only to the people who haven't contributed anything. I know I will want the people to hear my song, and moom will want them to hear his. Therefore I will not vote yet.

That's cool, guys. If you don't feel that you can vote impartially, then don't. We can always count on plenty of opinions here.
In the process, though, I normalized all of the demos on the Artistopia page so they are of the same volume, so it makes for easier listening.
If you want to hear them all again at the normalized levels, you can do it by going here:

Please check out the page and listen. Every listen increases our rankings and puts more of our songs on the charts, so please visit often and tell your friends.

Make sure you get over there and give the songs a listen. We already have 2 tracks in the top 10 and we can finish flooding the charts if everyone gets over there and listens.

I'm also going to abstain from the voting process. Even though I didn't write any of the songs, I have been intentionally avoiding learning what they sound like so that I can approach my solos on each one with completely fresh ears.

Re: Charybdis Artistopia Launch - Choosing Lead Tracks
I understand that you all want this to be honest and make sure that the right tracks are selected, but for the sake of having more than 5 votes for 3 songs, if people don't cast their votes, would you undecided or abstaining people just choose what you think is the best 3 anyways and help my decision? Honestly, I am the last one who should be voting on it because I am so immersed in this process that I need second opinions at times, not at the risk of being biased, but at the risk of often tired ears causing me to not make the best of calls on these things.

Okay...I've cast votes for the three songs I have heard...but I don't know if it really helped anything.

Not necessarily the best, but the three that we want people to hear first, the three that we want to speak for the album as examples.moom wrote:So, this is basically the poll for the best songs, right ?

Re: Charybdis Artistopia Launch - Choosing Lead Tracks
The voting has ended. Someday I'll Take The Time and Crocodiles have each gotten 3 votes. Let Me Be Me, Some Of Them and Rip You A New One each got two. So this is how I'm going to decide it: Every one was written or co-written by Tanner except for Some Of Them. Since Someday I'll Take The Time and Crocodiles are locked in with the most votes, Some Of Them will be the choice for the third song to give someone else a shot at having a lead track. Any objections?
