As long as Korn actually understand the sentiments behond the song, and/or bring out another side to the song that wasn't obvious in the original version then they can cover whatever the fuck they want.
However, if they are covering it to try and gain credibility from another corner of the music world, or to try and make themselves seem more suitable for a more mature audience (now that their initial fanbase must be in their 20s) then shame on them!

Well yes, their initial fanbase is in their late 20s right now. I was a part of it until their second album that was totally crap unlike the first one that was great IMHO. Nowadays when someone asks about Korn I say they are crap because now I really think so, no matter that I still like a couple of songs from their debut.
