Dave is not going to play a geetar!

He is going to be a part of the Geesin's brass orchestra!

He proved his quality playing sax on on an island, so he will try to fit in an orchestra this time.

What's Ron Geesin got to do with "Fat Old Sun"?

From now on, I think we should rename that song to

Old Fat Sun.

Well nothing, but as Dave Gilmour is going to be there on Sunday and they're playing Atom Heart Mother, so I'm just guessing that he may play his solo contribution to that album as a bonus. He's played it at all his solo gigs the last few times I've seen him.

Seems he just did AHM.

It included Remergence, and a lot of awesome Gilmour soloing; he starts with the Amazing Pudding base we first heard in January of 1970, but then kind of progresses until he sounds like modern David Gilmour; at points it feels very On An Island.

It's so crazy to hear this song, of all things, returning after a good 35 years (I believe the last time he did this was Amsterdam in '72).

It really was a truly awesome performance, I've never before seen an entire audience all rise in unison as the last note was played for a long standing ovation. As an encore they replayed the last 5 minutes again. Read the full review on the Brain Damage site.

I really hope it's released as a live album, not just AHM but the whole evening. There were several other amazing moments.

I'm new and stupid, so don't know where the usual spot might be. I'd be ever so grateful if someone could discreetly point me in the right direction.

I was there incidently - it was quite wonderful.

Because someone says it in the studio version at one point

Can't remember what point though. Been a long time since i last heard it, and haven't got any urge to do so now so find out where it is. But it's definitely in the studio version at one point

It was shouted out at exactly the same point at the performance as on the studio version. It was shouted from the left at the performance - if I remember correctly, the shout comes from the right on the album!

OK call me a pedant!

I'd still be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of the recording. Please!
