Basically, after the tribute projects fell through, we decided to focus on original material. The first project was
Double Core, which was based on a hoax album cover of the "new" Pink Floyd album, so we decided to actually record that album, with all original songs done in the style we thought Pink Floyd would do if they were to do a new album.

With that finished, we set our minds on another original project. I came up with the idea of inventing a fictitious Pink Floyd-like band and not only writing and recording songs from their entire career, from the 60's to the present, but interspersing it with radio interview clips to tell the "story" of this band and their career. It kind of stayed just at the idea stage till Jeff (BPMolder) came along and ran with it, getting others involved, so we all started writing songs for this epic album, which would not only be a "greatest hits" of our fictitious band, but also a mockumentary of their history. Having now written all of the material, we're in the recording stage, with BPMolder producing. It was decided that, even though we had a quite a number of contributors who wrote material, it would be the same group of musicians who would perform and record it to give it a more consistent feel throughout the band's "era's". Also, after much debate and voting, we settled on Charybdis as the name of our fictional band.
