i have to delete them everyday and whats more most of the days i dont even get private messages

you can turn it off in your profile section by clicking the area that say something like "notify me by email of..."
turn it off and your all good.

you could always register a new hotmail or yahoo account and change the email address in your profile.... so the notification gets send there and you don´t have them in your normal adress anymore....

Some other people have posted about the same issue (rosm and olzen, I think), so it's not just you. Whatever it is, it's clearly a complete waste of bandwidth!

i said something before but no1 really listened. Yeah it is a complete waste of bandwith and my inbox. i have to filter through all the stuff to find important things

Yes, that is no good. I think I know how to fix it. I shall have a look into it now. Its a case of the forum software not being able to delete a little temporary file it makes quick enough which sends out the emails. Very annoying stuff and a complete waste of bandwidth for all involved.

You could set up a folder on your email accounts and apply a filter rule so that all npfadmin@nep... email goes into there if it is causing you a real concern right now.

There were 30,000+ files in the "cache" when there should only be about 100. The forum template system and some other files are cached to save on server resources, but the permissions had been changed by someone somehow!! I think we have a hacker in our midst!
