Also watched a political debate where the slightly unhinged presenter had a go at everyone on it.

American Horror Story. If you are a horror fan, this looks very promising. It reminded me of Kubrick's "The Shining" and it had echoes of "Six Feet Under" that were interesting. An extremely auspicious debut, imho. Jessica Lange is in it, which I found rather shocking, and she gives what promises to be a very creepy slant to her role. I can only hope it stays as interesting as the first episode was.

Charlie Chaplin - Modern Times

(alleged) communist propaganda, the later scenes are something like Grapes of Wrath but with much better choreography
but dig those factory sets: Chaplin built them himself in his own studios

Full version of Walt Disney's "The Reluctant Dragon". Oddly enough, there seem to be no subtitles available for it, anywhere.

Watched that Holy Fllying Circus on the iplayer this avo. It wasn't funny. They had a christian with torretes which was excrusicatingly lame as were the dream and fantasy sequences. It was quite interesting though. I then watched the full editon of the chat show John & Miachel went on to debate blashphemy with a bishop and some journalist.

I tried to watch that last night but gave up. The chat show was much more watchable.

Is that a silent movie, by any chance?Hudini wrote:Full version of Walt Disney's "The Reluctant Dragon". Oddly enough, there seem to be no subtitles available for it, anywhere.

Two documentaries on Belgian band dEUS. Very nice to see them, gives me a different look on the person Tom Barman. He isn't as charming as he appears to be... But he is very driven and passionate.

Re: What are you watching, or last thing you watched?
Nope. It's a staged documentary about the production process of a cartoon, starring a humorist Robert Benchley. And there are absolutely no subtitles on the Internet, not even in English. There are numerous subtitles for the famous animated segment with Sir Giles and the dragon, confusingly entitled identically as the whole film, but there are no subtitles for the whole film.rosm wrote:Is that a silent movie, by any chance?Hudini wrote:Full version of Walt Disney's "The Reluctant Dragon".
