Re: Newspaper Scans - Richard Wright's Death
Got my two major papers. The Herald Sun, a right wing sensationalist paper has a small article "Acid Rock Muso dies" (arseholes), the Age, a more credible paper has an article and an obituary. PM me with an address I can send the articles to if you want.

Re: Newspaper Scans - Richard Wright's Death
yeh, makes him sound like a player in a pub band. Fuck if was some "garry goodhead" pop singer it would make front page news.
I am really angry, can't you tell?

Re: Newspaper Scans - Richard Wright's Death
I find it odd there could be different content of newspapers in "national" newspapers in such a relatively small country!simpledumbpilot wrote:Yep, mines deffo from the Mail too, the only thing that makes sense is Robs rationalisation, which is just too weird a thought to even contemplate!!! . Funnily enough I was surprised to see youd found a piece in the Express Keith as there wasnt anything in the one in my local newsagent so it must be a south of the Watford gap thing ???
Anyway... the two articles are in the gallery and one is marked as being from the South!!

He sang on Astronomy Domine and Matilda Mother (and perhaps others) but I thought it was more backing vocals than the lead.J Ed wrote:that Guardian obit says Rick sang lead on some of the Piper songs
I never knew that
which ones did he sing?

A diversion from the actual topic of the thread, I know, but I really liked David's re-recording of 'Arnold Layne' with Rick on vocals that was done for release with the Bowie version (though I expect that version was well-debated elsewhere on the Forum during my lengthy 'absence').Duckboy wrote:maybe it just meant from that era he sung on paintbox didnt he and him and syd were pretty even on Arnold Layne
