I am compiling a list of Syd Barrett's concert appearances. Can anyone add the missing dates, verify the dates are correct and suggest any that are missing from the list below?

I have a copy of that somewhere, I will have to try and dig it out. Also, a copy of Embryo: A Pink Floyd Chronology 1966-1971. Although the Echoes book by Glenn Povey may be more accurate. I will have to compare them!

Keith, I have a listing by month for 1967 through January of 1968. If you are interested, I can scan it to PDF and email it to you.

Thanks Teresa. I should have been more clear though, I am specifically looking at Syd Barrett solo concerts. Eventually, I will add who played at all of the Floyd concerts once I have finished adding all the concerts to the database so you would be able to click on Syds name and show all the The Pink Floyd and Pink Foyd gigs he did also.
He certainly didnt do many solo gigs! 9 I think.

Sorry Keith. I did misunderstand. I think I have seen a list of solo gigs somewhere on the internet, and if I find it, I will forward you the link.
You're right, there aren't many, fewer than 10.

The one at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on 27/1/1972 was not a solo, but The Last Minute Put-Together Boogie Band, Bruce Payne (vocals & guitar), Jack Monck (bass), Twink (drums), Fred Frith (guitar) and Syd Barrett (guitar)

Ivor Trueman: What about the recording of the earlier gigs?
Twink: Well I don't know where the tapes are.
Ivor Trueman: Which gigs were recorded?
Twink: I think all of them were.
Ivor Trueman: And the rehearsals?
Twink: Syd recorded the rehearsals.
Ivor Trueman: On a portable cassette?
Twink: As far as I remember, yes, just on a cassette. And the other one's were recorded on a really professional set up by a guy from America that was based in Cambridge. He was related in someway to Leonard Bernstein & his name's Victor but I can't remember anything else.

Re: Syd Barrett's Concert Appearances - Help with list....
From 1968-75 I attended the Perse School on Hills Rd in Cambridge (apparently Dave Gilmour's school also) . Some of the sixth formers arranged some 'school concerts' and along with a show by the Pink Fairies and Principal Edwards Magic Theatre (April 28th 1971) I remember a show by Syd Barrett's Stars - but have seen no mention of it anywhere else. As I recall at the time they did one more show as the Stars at the Corn Exchange about a week later, and that was it, if that helps pin down the date of this concert. I hope this is of some help, let me know if you can find more info - it's all a little fuzzy now and I'd be interested to know exactly when it was he played at my school. The Corn Exchange show wasn't the Six Hour Technicolor Dream (Jan 27th 1972) - I was at that one, (though I think I was more interested in Stacia and the Stripping Nuns at the time) so maybe it would have been late Feb 1972 . . .
