(from the rules announcement)
1 - No topics of a sexual, racial or taboo nature will be permitted.
I know it was changed recently to accommodate certain kinds of swearing with the exception of the really "offensive" words.
Just wondering what the limits are with the "sexual" topic. I mean, I almost wrote down a really funny topic in the "completely random" thread, but I didn't know if it'd get deleted or not. So I didn't. But would it be PG? PG-13?
To be honest, I have become very liberal of late. So long as it is not too graphic or explicit it will pass. How about we give the site a 15 rating? I like that... it's a 15.

For those who aren't in the know and wonder what Pugs is talking about:
The American Movie Rating System According To Mosespa:
G=General Audiences...there is minimal to zero swearing and violence and NO nudity at all.
PG=Parental Guidance Suggested...there will be some swearing, some violent content and maybe brief nudity. (This one is hardly used anymore as it has been pre-empted by PG 13.)
PG13=Parental Guidance Suggested For Children Under 13...there will be a touch more violence, swearing and perhaps nudity. (Note: this rating was invented after it was deemed that Indiana Jone And The Temple Of Doom and Gremlins should have been rated something higher than PG...but not quite R. It was quite a news item in the day.)
R=Restricted...basically, if you're under 17, you're not supposed to be allowed in the theater unless accompanied by an adult. Of course, here in the states, we've known this is hogwash for some time. I used to get into R Rated movies by myself regularly.
NC-17=No One Under 17...this is typically reserved for pornography, but there ARE other movies that have received this rating for other reasons, before being edited back down to an R-rating. American Pie, for example, had to remove a couple of thrusts in the pie and a swear word or two before receiving an R rating. The original Clerks was almost rated NC-17 for language ALONE.
Of course, there IS a stigma associated with the NC-17 rating. Most "reputable" movie studios won't release a movie with this rating, insisting instead that the director edit out the most offensive material in order to get an R-rating.
Honestly...I'd give this board a PG rating.
I don't think anything here is offensive...but some more puritanically minded people might.
