What was the inspiration for "Scream Thy Last Scream Old Woman With A Casket?"

you are back White Summer? Time for another ban i guess....carosel+ wrote:That's a dumb question!snifferdog wrote:Have you written an uncensored version of Inside Out?
If it was censored then they must have cut bits out of the original which would obviously make the original uncensored!

So I'm not the only one who recognised "her"?Yucateco wrote:you are back White Summer? Time for another ban i guess....

EDIT:
Oh... And I would ask: "Could I borrow your car?"

Indeed they're not; but then that would be difficult to achieve I suspect!carosel+ wrote:wow - you guys aint as dumb as you look

I would think that remains to be seen (both whether the posts/threads are 'cool' - whatever that means - and also whether you are allowed to do so!)carosel+ wrote:I will be posting some cool threads real soon - if i am allowed that is!

I really liked both your "solo" albums. Do you plan to record and release any more music, either on your own or with other people?

He recorded his cars for the CD that came with that Into the Red book he wrote a few years ago. Could that be considered to be a solo album?

I guess it could. However, I don't have that one (too expensive in NZ). Perhaps it could be seen to be a natural successor to "Household Objects"?snifferdog wrote:He recorded his cars for the CD that came with that Into the Red book he wrote a few years ago. The cars are where his passion lies these days, and that is fine. He must be about retiring age, so he can do what he likes (although too bad about the carbon footprint and wasting of fossil fuels

Nonetheless, I would happily look into another Nick solo disc, if he was to put one out.

Re: If You Could Ask Nick One Question...
Given that standing waves in a drum membrane are complicated and satisfactory analysis requires knowledge of Bessel functions. In contrast to standing waves in one dimensional media such as waves in a string, sound waves in a pipe, etc., the resonance frequencies of membrane standing waves are not integer multiples of the lowest order mode. Consider a circular membrane of radius a (m) and surface mass density
is subject to a surface tension of Ts (N/m). The velocity of transverse waves on the membrane is given by
The lowest resonance frequency is
where the numerical factor 2.40483 is the first root of the zero-th order Bessel function J0 (x). The entire membrane oscillates up and own in this lowest order standing wave . The second root of J0(x) = 0 is x2 = 5.52008 and the oscillation frequency is
The second lowest resonance frequency occurs at
where 3.83171 is the first root of the first order Bessel function J1 (x) = 0. then
