Syd Barrett's Photocopier now on Ebay

Complete with the instruction manual, signed by Syd, a receipt from PC World in Cambridge and a letter of authenticity, this Brother desktop photocopier has kindly been donated to the Syd Barrett Fund by Rosemary and Paul Breen. Please note that the photocopier hasn't been used for quite a long time, and might not work.

I very nearly bid because what should be of real value would have been the signature, not the photocopier. However, what stopped me putting in a late minute bid was the fact that this was not truely signed by Syd, just he wrote his name. Most of our own signatures differ vastly from the result of simply just writing ones name - Therefore, this is not a signature on the strictest sense, in my view!

I guess it all depends on what you call a signature. Yes, he didn't sign the booklet with his signature but he did write his name/address on it. And unlike a lot of signed things on eBay, you can be sure it was actually signed by Syd.
