I think it could be very hard to portray Syd in a film. Afterall we have precious little interview footage with him and just a couple of performance videos.

You know, I performed as Syd Barrett in front of an audience. It was a monologue. The period I chose was right after the whole Pat Boone American tour disaster. It was funny, because I had a script, and there was somebody who followed it in case I forgot lines...well, I improvised the whole thing, so when I got stuck they could not help me...but it didn't matter, because all I had to do was act stoned and incoherent and make silly stuff up that didn't make sense...it was well received.
