Re: So What Else Do You Listen To?
I've got the Bootleg Boxed Set Vol. 1, which was 7 selected bootlegs from the Tangerine Tree sets, remastered by the Froese's. There were some good early shows in there when they were still pretty much all improvised, and I enjoy listening to some of them now and then.Stephen wrote:I've got something like 37 of those and there are some really top quality recordings on them. The scheme had the approval of the band themselves and it's a shame others didn't offer the same service for their fans instead of getting their management to put a stop to free trading, even though the TD one itself was wound up some years after for, I believe, legal reasons. I never found out what those legal reasons were but my guess would be that the record company wasn't getting a cut and didn't like it..I could be wrong though. They even designed the artwork for the albums so that when you lined them up they fitted together and the edges of them formed a photo of the band, it didn't make any difference to the music of course but it was a nice touch.William wrote: Have you heard any of the Tangerine Tree or Tangerine Leaves stuff? It's basically live recordings taken by members in the audience. The Tree versions are usually the better quality ones. There's a lot of quality stuff to be found that I never even knew existed and I definitely recommend it if you like Tangerine Dream.

Yeah, I think my dad pretty much got every single Tangerine Tree and Tangerine Leaves album that there is. We have a hundred or so discs of the stuff. Hehe. And sorry for derailing this thread into a TD discussion.

In Greek mythology, Phaedra was the daughter of Minos, wife of Theseus and the mother of Demophon and Acamas. Try calling that lot in for their dinner

Raine's Phèdre is the most tedious and melodramatic play I have ever read.

Re: So What Else Do You Listen To?
A few months ago I went through a 1969-1975 Miles Davis phase again.
Lately it has been the Stones for some reason.

Re: So What Else Do You Listen To?
I used to be a metalhead as a kid and I still like some of the bands I listened to back then, though rarely. My musical taste has become more eclectic over the course of years. Per instance, the playlist in my current mp3 player consists of Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Faith No More, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Savatage and our very own Frederik Olsen, and I don't even want to start listing what's in my CD and LP collection, not to mention my bottomless bag of DVDs.
