33 1/3 series of Books

Post by oldperfume »

This is a fantastic series of books based on great albums through out rock. Naturally, I looked for my favorite, PATGOD & found it quite amusing & a quick read as well. It describes the making of that seminal album, all the "Who's, what's,where's & hows". Mark Cavanaugh, the author makes you almost feel like you were there at Abbey Road & it definitely paints a more different picture of Syd compared to some of the other things written. It's about the MUSIC, not how many drugs he took, etc. Syd seemed pretty together through this album, but after...
A worthwhile read about the BEST Floyd album ever.... It's cheap too; cost me $8.00 American!

Indeed, the author did a Q&A session with NPF visitors a few years back. I have been meaning to put it in the NPF Magazine archives for some time along with a long list of other work this website needs!

An excellent little book though! 8)
