The first South American concert on Roger Waters The Wall Live Tour 2010/2011 has been announced!

It will take place on 18th December 2010 at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico! This now takes the total number of concerts on the tour up to 80!

More South American Dates?

The concert in Mexico is now the last confirmed date of the tour in the Americas before it moves over to Portugal, Europe, on 21st March 2010 so there is a break in the tour of three months. I can imagine there are other concerts planned for South America and perhaps some after the end of the European leg of the tour in Australia.

I thought North America was Canada and the USA? I thought Mexico was part of Latin America in the southern geopolitical collection of countries? Is that wrong? Yes! I updated rogerwaterstours.com and neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk to reflect my sentiments that the tour in the Americas is heading south towards South America!

south and north america are the names of continents
the divide is the isthmus, the narrowest band of land, ie where the Panama Canal has been carved through
actually that should be phrased as the connection rather than the divide, as thats where two seperate continental plates have got stuck together for a few million years or so

Latin America is a cultural concept, countries that were colonised by either Spain or Portugal
