Hi all,
I have just been on a trip to London, I was staying round the earls court area and I was wondering where syd's flat was, the flat in madcap with the painted floorboards. Was it actually on earls court road?
Thanks
Syd's flat?

Re: Syd's flat?
Cromwell road is where he painted the floorboards, if memory serves me.
I also know that 2 Earlham road was where he lived once. Don't know if the house is still there.

Re: Syd's flat?
In 1970, Syd Barrett released the first of his two solo albums after leaving Pink Floyd. The Madcap Laughs featured Syd on the cover, with his freshly painted floorboards. These recently sold in an auction, for £28,500, and will be placed on display at a pub in St Leonards-On-Sea in Sussex, most appropriately called The Piper after the Floyd's first album!

Syd Barrett, born on January 6, 1946, would have been 24 years old in 1970 when the picture was taken. A baby!
